Hi there,
Gout is diagnosed on the basis of several criteria. The medical history ,symptoms ,joint examination and tests like blood tests and X-rays are important for accurate diagnosis. Many healthy people without gout have high uric acid levels in their blood, while others who experience an attack of gout have a normal level. Other differentials for monoarticular arthritis are pseudogout, bursitis, septic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis etc.Consult your doctor and discuss above possibilities. Hope it helps.
Take care and regards!
Hello!
Unfortunately, sometimes you can have normal levels of uric acid in blood and still can have gout. This was my case as well. Just follow the gout diet, I believe your doctor told you what to eat and what to avoid. I was taking a natural treatment for my gout and it helped me put it under control. Fell great now!
