I still have no answer and am concerned

I use to have extremely regular periods whether or not I was on birth control. I was on the depo shot for about a year and ended the treatment in March of 09 due to weight gain. Since then I have lost almost all the weight I had put on and my periods went back to normal. Recently however, I have encountered a troubling issue. My last period was in August and it was completely normal. The period previous to that was horribly painful and a really heavy flow. I went to the emergency room to make sure everything was okay because I had never experienced such a period. Tests came back normal and I was sent on my way. It is now almost January and I havent had another period. I went to my obgyn and had a bunch of tests done. These include a full STD pannel, a blood pannel, a urine pannel, a pap test, several examinations, and even a sonogram. The only abnormal thing was a tiny cyst on my right ovary. My doctor couldnt tell me why I wasnt having a period or why sex hurts me now. I even experience a severe burning after sex. We do not use any form of birth control due to personal beliefs. I have no idea why all of a sudden at 20 years old my periods seem to have just stopped or why now with my fiance sex has become painful no matter how much foreplay is involved. Please help me.

4)The fetal pole is seen with a crown rump length of 0.75 cms corresponding to 6 weeks 5 days size.

5) The fetal heart pulsations are seen.

6) The yolk sac is seen.

7) Good decidual reaction is seen.

8) The crrvical length is adequate.

9)Internal OS is closed.

10) Left Ovary measues 4.3 cms and has a corpus luteal cyst of 2.8 cms.

Impressions:

A small Subchorionic hematoma of 2.7x1.2 cms is sceen at the superior pole of the gestational sac.

My wife has very mild pain in lower abdomen very rarely & it is not continous. Our Doctor advice her to take HCG 2000 IU & Susten 100 injection twice in a week & we arefollowing it up.

Does this  Subchorionic hematoma of 2.7x1.2 cms will affect the baby growth in future. Kindly clarify. Waiting for your reply plz

Hi!
If your were my patient, I would check a thyroid panel, a prolactin level, and an FSH.
If those were all normal, I would suggest taking progesterone for 5 days to see if you had a period afterwards.  If so, you probably have a variant of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).  It is very common, and could be caused by weight issues.
If you didn't have a period after the progesterone, I would check to be sure your estrogen level is normal.
Hope this helps!
