To lulu and Dr. Brown,
I'm not a doctor or anything, but I experience pain during sex quite frequently, every time actually. I am diagnosed with Endometriosis. Is it possible that lulu may have the same condition? Just a thought.

Hi!
Your problem is a difficult one.  The condition is called vaginismus.  It is sometimes seen in women with a history of abuse, especially sexual abuse.
In many cases a cause can be found, such as fibroids, vaginal infection, poor vaginal lubrication, etc.  In other cases no cause can be discovered.  In that type of case, a sex therapist may be very helpful.

I have had some success treating women with vaginal dilators.  She and her partner can work with different increasing sizes until they are able to have comfortable vaginal intercourse.  It often takes a long time and lots of patience.

I hope this helps somewhat.
Good luck!
