Hi i have two questions?

1. The first is, how do you know if you developed pelvic inflammatory disease from an std. I had one and i felt pain but i got it treated, is there anyway to test for infertility. How long do u have it usually before you cant concieve anymore?

2. I have an ingrown hair that may have become a cyst. its a big bump now, when i ***** it a bit of fluid drains out. I donthave herpes or anything i know its ingrown. What's the best way to approach the situation? Can i go to a womens clinic to have it treated ?

Thank you,

Mcgeish

Hello Avani,

If your tubes are blocked there is no way to unblock them.  Tubal blockage is very often the result of prior pelvic surgery, endometriosis, or pelvic inflammatory disease.  When you decide you want to conceive you should talk with your ob/gyn about the best means to approach it.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
