Dear Dr,
Here is my friend's situation:
On 2.25, he took ELISA test twice in a hospital, one of the test result shown negetive, the other was chromogenic, so cannot reach the negetive standard.
On 2.27, he went to the other two hospitals for testing. One hospital's test result was one negetive and one positive, but the test method was unknown; the other hospital's test result was not so good.
So he went to the latter hospital for another test on 3.4. On 3.5,the result came out: the DIGFA shown negetive and ELISA was positive.
Could the positive result be a fake positive?
How high the probability of him infecting the HIV ?
Thank you!
