Pre-ejaculate hand job hiv risk

Hello Dr.,
A week ago I jerked off with another guy. I did not touch him. I had pre-ejaculate coming out of my urethra.  He briefly touched my urethra and my precum with the same hand he was using to jerk off. He may have had some of his own precum (probably not much) on his hand that touched my urethra and precum with.  We did not ejaculate on each other.  I'm confused about whether or not there is risk of hiv transmission with what happened. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. there are many variations on the practice of masturbation- in some instances persons masturbate themselves, in other situations, persons masturbate each other.  In the latter situation it is common for person to get each other’s ejaculate, or pre-ejaculatory fluid on each other.  In these instances, perhaps surprisingly, there is absolutely no risk for transmission of STIs, including HIV.  There is no risk to you from the events you describe and certainly no medical need for testing.

I hope this comment is helpful to you. EWH
