Thanks for your prompt response, it has really helped it's amazing how peoples minds run away with them and try to convince themselves they have HIV, me included. Forgot to mention I'm gay so the encounter was male to male. Expect that doesn't change the response in this instance. Many thanks Doctor maybe I'll sleep a bit better now.
Welcome to the forum. You appear to have experienced the onset of a cold or non-HIV, non-STD viral illness coincidentally with your recent sexual experience. HIV is not transmitted through surface contamination of wounds, particularly those that have been healing for more than a few hours. Thus even if your partner happened to be infected (and this is unlikely from a statistical perspective), you are not at risk and do not need testing. EWH
