Welcome to our Forum. I will be happy to comment. The exposures you describe were low risk and your tests prove that you did not get HIV-- you have nothing to worry about.
Your exposures were low risk for HIV because HIV is very rare among commercial sex workers in Bahrain as well as because you used condoms for your vaginal sex. The condoms are highly effective for preventing acquisition of HIV. Further, even if your partner had HIV, you unprotected cunnilingus on her was very low risk- less than 1 in 10,000 persons who perform cunnilingus on an infected partner will develop HIV.
Most importantly however, your tests are repeatedly negative at times when they provide reliable results. The combination HIV p24 antigen/HIV antibody tests that you had at 27 and 39 days provide conclusive results at any time more than 28 days after exposure. Thus your test results at 27 days (essentially the same as 28) and at 39 days were conclusive and prove that you did not get HIV.
You can be confident that you did not get HIV from the encounters you describe. the risk was low and the tets prove that you were not infected. there is no reason for concern or for additional testing. EWH
Thank you doctor. You are such a great and helpful doctor. Wish you the best
Correct, you can be confident you did not get HIV. EWH
Dear Dr. Thank you so much for your words it really made comfortable and I really do believe you. Any way from this time I'm going to forget this and not going to be worried to take tests in the future.in addition, when these thoughts come to my mind I will always remember your words. Just to be clear and to understand that you are telling me That I didn't get HIV because of two things 1 the risk is to low 2 the test are conclusive is that right?. How ever thank you for helping me doc. have a great days.
In addition, I'm planing to go next week to complete my edu in the USA and I'm so scared cuz I will be complete 90 days there and afraid that when I take it it will be positive. Also I can't focus on my study while I'm having these thoughts in my mind.
