Hello,
Thank you very much for your post.
Let me answer your questions here below:
1) Regarding my exposure (saliva with no blood in contact with a almost healed herpes lesion): do you consider it as a risk at all?
NO HIV INFECTION RISK AT ALL FOR YOU AS YOU WERE JUST RECEIVING ORAL SEX. THERE WOULD BE A RISK FOR THE OTHER PERSON OF CONTRACTING HERPES THOUGH.
2) What are my chances of being indeed HIV negative after these testings at 35 days after exposure?
YOU ARE DEFINITELY HIV NEGATIVE. ALL THOSE TESTS ARE CONCLUSIVE.
3) Do I need any further testing?
NO, YOU DON'T
4) In your opinion, is saliva with no blood in contact with lesions like the one I have described above a risk at all?
NO RISK AT ALL. SALIVA ACTUALLY NEUTRALISES THE VIRUS.

Thank you so much! I know these postings have to get to an end, so I promise this will be the last one. I just want some information for future sex encounters I might possibly have in my life. If you think it is more appropriate, I can pay another 20 dollars fee. No problem at all, really.
1) Regarding texts about HIV testing from Freedomhealth website, when they say a DUO test is good enough at 28 days after exposure...is that based on personal medical experience or does the UK Guidelines say the same? I have just read an answer of yours in the Freedomhealth Forum called "Low viral load and symptoms" (posted today Nov 2nd 2010) and you said something about "testing being fully conclusive after 8 weeks". So I got some confused about the 28 days (taking DUO test). Could you give me a short explanation on that issue?
2) In my case, despite the obvious low risk, which test I took (DUO and Ultrasensitive PCR) that gave you more clues to say I am negative?
3) By when would an Ultrasensitive RNA PCR HIV Test be detectable (above 20 copies/ml) after an exposure in your experience?
4) At last, if you catch "Pediculosis pubis" from a HIV positive person, would you be at risk for getting HIV? I mean, this type of louse sucks blood from someone, right? If this same louse passes to another person, by sucking this new person's blood...would there be a mixture of blood from both fellows? I know this is crazy and I excuse myself.
Thank you for your patience and kindness.
All the best!
