please help!!

I had unprotected sex with a prostitute. Two weeks later I started getting transient rashes on my front shoulders, forehead as well as hives on my arms. Then near the end of the third week after exposures I had lower back pain, muscle aches,  rash on top of both hands and diarrhea. Week four I had terrible headaches and developed gingivitis. I never got a fever but did get some sores inside my mouth and on my tongue. Two months after my exposure I developed nasal polyps. The I started getting transient flat salmon like marks over my body. Then one day 3 months after my incident
I had a giant red blotch on my stomach. It was flat and red and if I hadn't lifted my shirt I wouldn't have even noticed. It has been 10 months since I had unsafe sex with a prostitute and the symptoms that remain are nasal polyps, gingiviyis, mouth sores and skin manifestations. I had a nonreactive hiv antibody test at 16 weeks post exposure and an undetectable rna by pcr hiv test 37 days post exposure. Do I need to retest and if not hiv what else could it be?

Thank you

I am a male and ahd sex with an African American female prostitute. I read that when a person gets. Gingivitis that 30 percent of their genome has changed. And I did go to the dentist, one week before my encounter. Got all the plaque removed and a cleaning done.

Hello

I think the two HIV tests you have had conclusively rule out the possibility of you having HIV.

The symptoms you are describing sound a bit of a mixture and some sound unrelated to each other.

Nasal polyps are unrelated to the sexual episode and are just bad luck. You need to see a GP and try perhaps a nasal spray and if that fails then consider a referral to an ENT doctor. As I say, they are irrelevant in terms of your sexual exposure.

The gingivitis and mouth sores suggest to me taht you need to see a dentist and are not immediately suggestive of any disease in particular.

The rash and blotches on your palms suggest a consultation with a skin specialist but also a test for syphilis. You don't say whether you are a male or female or whether the sex worker was male or female or the location of the sex worker.

In the UK, syphilis is at very high rates in the gay and bisexual population and less so in the straight population including sex workers. There are some locations in the world where syphilis is a likely feature in female sex workers so this may be a possibility.

So on balance I would suggest going and having a syphilis test together with a CBC and if the result is negative to consult with a skin specialist.

best regards, Sean

I would also like to add that I  have blotchy palms now and none of the symptoms mentioned have I ever had before this encounter. The symptoms and especially the timing of them really makes me question my results.
