HIV with Hepatomegaly

Last week the doctor told my husband that he was infected with HIV. He left the hospital, came home, and told me. He spent a week at home with fevers everyday and serious stomachaches. This week his condition worsened and I took him back to the hospital for the ARV clinic so he could get medication for HIV (which we thought was what's making him so sick), to find that he is also infected with Hepatomegaly. They now keep him at the hospital.
Is having HIV with Hepatomegaly very serious and deadly?

Have lost 12 kg in 2 months and have high fever everyday. Been for test at local hospital; doctor suspected TB at first; but then after the second he said that I didn't have it; and now gave me the result that I have a weak immune system.
I have a wife and three children. We are a happy family and I do not mess around - ever.. but can't help to be suspicious that I might be infected with HIV?
