A foodbourne or waterbourne illness is certainly a possiblity. EWH
Thank you very much Dr.
I don't think that I got as nauseated from the alcohol as to maybe the food I had eaten that evening before drinking.
I was quite uncertain about the painful lymph nodes and the fact that I could possibly be causing myself to feel those ailments due to the anxiety of the events I had partaken in and knowing what to look for as symptoms.
While vomiting I felt as though I may have strained something in my groin region, but have felt nothing to concern me with an inguinal hernia.
I'm a US contractor and a physicians assistance is not feasible at his time and will not be for another four months.
Could a food brorne illness cause these symptoms?
Welcome to our Forum. I'll try to help. Often after activities that, in retrospect, persons wished they had not taken part in or are ashamed of, we attribute unrelated problems associated with other causes to those activities. This may be part of what is going on for you and is entirely normal. Fortunately however, there is virtually no risk for HIV from the activities you describe.
HIV is not transmitted through mutual masturbation (in either direction, giving or receiving) despite the fact that it is common and typical for partners to get each others' genital secretions on one another in the activities. Similarly, it is not transmitted through kissing or sucking on a woman's nipples.
The onset of the symptoms you describe is not characteristic of HIV or, for that matter, any other STD. There are no STDs which cause symptoms within a day or even two following sexual contact and, in fact, for HIV the typical onset of symptoms typically occurs 2-4 weeks after contact. The symptoms you describe could be caused by any of a number of other causes including kidney problems common in travelers but not related to sexual activity. I would suggest you seek evaluation from a knowledgeable clinician if the problem is persisting as you describe but see no reason to worry about STDs, including HIV or to test for them.
I hope my comment is helpful and provides some direction. EWH
