regarding my massage visits

Hi Dr.

With regard to my previous question which I posted in the STD forum. I had an employment test at exactly 6 weeks after the massage visits(which I regret), the test came negative. I though that my fears would reside but I am still worried.

Dr

1) do you think my last test is enough to reside my worries, the test was 6-10 weeks after the massage visits. (the exposers were handjobs and fingering anally, and once rimming)

2) I was taking zoloft and another drug for deprresion, do they effect the testing in any way?

thanks Dr and I really appreciate what you are doing.

One last try. This will truely be the last answer:

1.  Your blood count results have no relevance to whther or not you have HIV.
2.  You are wrong.  No risk from masturbation, with or without blood.
3.  Of course.

Sorry Dr.EWH

This will be my last follow-up. please guide me.

1)My blood counts were normal WBC and RBC except the HCT (I am a smoker) does this implies anything regarding HIV? is this good

2) I am convincing my self that fingering is like anal penetration in risk(if there was blood from a cut, am I wrong?

3) If one day I meet a partner, can I go ahead without the fear of infecting her?

hope for your last help to get me out of the muddle I got myself in.

This will be your last answer as your problem appears to be more anxiety than HIV risk.  The antigen does not go away at 6-8 weeks although the level may decrease as antibodies appear.  The results of a DUO test at ANY time more than 4 weeks after exposure should be believed.  You do not need further testing for HIV, or as I have told you before, for other STDs.

This ends this thread.  EWH.

thank you doctor for your quick answer and assurance. I really trust the judgment of the doctores here. but from no where the what if thoughts attack me. this is my problem, not a lack of clarification from you.

Today I contacted the lab to make sure which test exactly they were doing, it was
an antibody and antigen (roche), unlike the antibody test I did 1-4 weeks after the exposures wich you then responded to.

know with this new information.

1) is it more conclusive know after nowing its a duo test? does it make any diffrence. (some say that the antigene dies anyways after 6-8 weeks)

2) why i seem to be worried all the time ( I even went to the lab 4 times to make sure that they said I am negative, then the lab technican just told me to leave)  . I all the way thought that fingering wasnt a risk but then before testing I checked this site and saw that if there was a cut there may be a risk. If I knew this beforehand I wouldnt even go there.

3) if you think I shoud forget about the hiv, which wa the hard part, what other std test do you recommend to clear all possibilities. ( I already did hepb)

just to end this whole issue I want to know if I can move forward without even 1% of risk hanging, because all the time I am thinking what if she had a cut, or she caused a cut in me and ....... although they massaged me for at least 45 minutes before fingering me, is this enough time to heal a cut if she had (they told me they put alcohol on their hand before they massage a client to check if they have a cut on their hand) I just keep thinking and thinking, + they have been checked for hiv and hepb at lest 1.7 year ago, one of them 6 months ago. they were asian.

sorry for the long post but wanted your thoughts on the update about the testing method. and can I reach 100% assurance.
details of my exposures are here.

Directly to your questions.

1.  Given the nature of your exposures, I would urge you to accept the results of your tests as conclusive.  There really is no need for further testing.

2.  No zoloft or other antidepressant medications would not be expected to alter your results.

It is time for you to move forward without worries regarding this exposure.  .  Take care.  EWH
