French kissing

Dr. I went to a Korean Karaoke Club in LA last monday and french kissed couple of hostesses that worked there.  I had a sore throat and maybe a sore at the back of my mouth.  I don't know their HIV status.
Now half of my face is paralized and the doctor said it is bell's paralysis.  My Question is;

1. Can i get HIV from the french Kisses from these two girls if they had open sores with blood and they were HIV positive?

2. Should I take a HIV test?

3. Should i have protective sex with my partner until the HIV test?

4. Can one week after the possible exposure of HIV cause Bell's Paralysis?

Thank you

Correct.  Your repetition of what I've told you is a correct summary. EWH

Thank you Doctor.  Since i tested HIV negative 8 days ago after 6 weeks of possible exposure from accupunture, I am hiv free from this kissing incident and my bell palsy is not due to hiv correct?  This will be my last question.

Welcome to the Forum.  You are not at risk.  .  Kissing is no risk, even deep ("French") kissing and even with a person who sores on their mouth or has gum or dental disease.   Conversely, your sore throat does not change this- still no risk.

Thus:
1.  No, no risk.
2.  There is no need for testing related to kissing.
3.  Having kissed the hostesses does not suggest that you need to have protected sex with your regular partner.
4.  No, an exposure to an infected person a week ago would not cause Bell's palsy.  There is some other cause although in many persons with HIV, the cause is not found.

I hope these comments are helpful. EWH
