Stepped Out Of Marriage

I wont draw this explanation out so I will get to the point.
29 white male went down on 34 white female, with the female going down in return - swallowed.
I am freaking out over HIV with this only exposure.
I have gotten 14 day PCR, 6 week oral swab, and 10 week rapid finger prik which was NEG.
She has gotten 49 day finger prik NEG as well.
Today is day 70/71 and I have bronchitis/light fever/sore throat/body tired.

I plan on getting a test at 73 days finger prik....Please tell me the truth and I have been myself since this happened.

It was proved you don't have HIV before this test, which further confirms it.  There is no point in additional testing.  That will be all for this thread.

Correct:  your tests show ("logically and scientifically", as you put it) that you do not have HIV.  And HIV doesn't cause bronchitis; you caught a cold.  Please accept the reassurance and move on with your life.  Of course see your doctor if your cought or other symptoms continue -- but HIV isn't hte cause.

So logically/scientifically there is no way with my 14 day PCR / 10 week antibody test & the girl getting 7 week test?

Right now I have fever, with Broncitis.

Welcome to the HIV forum.  But I'm quite worried that you are overreacting in a major way.

HIV is not transmitted by oral sex -- or so rarely it can be ignored.  Second, the likelihood any particualr woman in the US (or other industrialized country) has HIV is very low, under 1 chance in 1,000.  Heterosexually transmitted HIV remains rare, despite what you might assume from the media etc; considering both the low chance she had HIV plus the low transmission risk even if she did, your risk was low enough so you didn't need HIV testing.

But third and most important, your test reuslts show you were not infected.  It is not possible to have HIV with the negative lab tests you ahve had at 6 and 10 weeks after exposure.

Bottom line:  This was a zero to low risk exposure to begin with and your tests prove you were not infected.  You don't need any additional testing.  All is well and your wife is not at risk.

I hope this helps.  Best wishes-- HHH, MD
