Glad to hear it. Tiem for you to move on. Take care. EWH
hej doctor thank you for your answers. i did today syphlis test and hiv test and it was negative.
this does not sound like an HIV rash. If you are worried, please get tested. This will end this thread. Take care. EWH
okej thank you doctor you have calmed me down, i am gona take a test when i travel back home. Why i am so worried is becuse the
rash on my groin and scrotum that was as big as half a visa card and it was scratched, my last question is, how does a hiv rash look like?is it usually in the groin?does the hiv rash itch? how can u see if it is a hiv ARS rash? can it come alone with soar throw and no fever?
You used a condom. condoms prevent STDs, including chlamydia. If you need to find out if you have anSTD or not, you should be tested. Based on what you say above hover, it is most unlikely that you have an STD, including HIV. EWH
what about the other thing i writed about the chlamydia?
The idea that type E HIV is transmitted at a rate of 1 infection in 40 exposures is an over estimate. No change in my opinion or advice. EWH
thank you for the answer but i have read that it is 1 infection in 2000 exposures and some sites says the subtype E in thailand is 1 infection in 40 thats why i am scared and i dont want to know if i am positive i am not ready to hear that. i forget to tell u after the sex maybe 6 hours later i get pain in the penis like chlamydia symptoms it dosent pain when i pee just feel it when i think about it. then when i stopped worryed it was gone and now it has begin again. that i feel little pain do u think it is chlamydia ?another question if u get chlamydia from the girl is it a big chans to get the hiv with it 2. i am thinking to do the test for stds but not sure for hiv test i am to scaryed.
Welcome to our Forum. I understand just how concerned you would be following experiencing a condom failure. Your risk for infection is basically the risk associated with a single exposure to an infected partner. The answer to this is, IF your partner was infected (no way to know if she was but most commercial sex workers, even in Thailand are not infected), your risk for infection is about 1 infection in 1000 exposures. Thus it is most likely that you did not acquire infection from this exposure. As for your symptoms, the fact is that they are some of the symptoms that are characteristic of the ARS. At the same time however, they are entirely non-specific and could be caused by any number of non-HIV viral illnesses of the sort that people acquire quite regularly. The fact that many of your classmates had a similar illnesses is further evidence suggesting that your symptoms were not due to HIV.
Most importantly however, it is now more than 10 weeks since your exposure. You can address your concerns by getting tested at this time. Currently available tests would lead to a diagnosis of HIV, no matter what type, at this time. My prediction is that if you test, the tet will be negative. When you get that negative result, believe it because the results will be definitive.
I hope this comment helps. EWH
