Welcome to our Forum. I'll be glad to answer your questions. the activates you describe are considered safe sex and do not warrant testing for HIV.. HIV is not transmitted by safe sex, through kissing, or through masturbation (fingering) even though it is common in these situation to get partners' genital secretions on you during the process. HIV is only spread through penetrative genital or ano-genital sex or through injection of infected material deeply into tissue such as occurs with a needle.
Further, to put your risk into context, it is important that I point out to you it is unlikely that your partner had HIV. Most CSWs do not have HIV and the precautions that your partner took are the sort that CSWs take with the intention of protecting themselves from their clients, not for protecting their clients.
The flux you feel in your feet does not in any way suggest HIV or any other STD.
Bottom line, form a medical perspective, you do not need HIV testing and do not have any reason to worry. I hope you find my comments reassuring. EWH
I did. Having sores on your fingers, bleeding cuticles on your nails, etc does not increase your risk- still no risk. EWH
Hello Doctor,
Thanks for the answer. The reason why I asked the fingering part is I am having a very bad habit of nail-biting. I still feel little pain in that finger because of nail-biting. Since I have used that finger, I am worrying. You told that exchange of segregation is OK in fingering. Did you take this problem also (possible crack or nail-biting sore) into account?..
Will you still say that my activities are safe and suggest no testing for me?
