Happy Halloween Doctor!
In March I performed oral sex on another male (we're both 30, caucasian, and gay). I don't know this person's HIV status. We kissed for a while and then I put his penis in my mouth for 15 seconds, but he did not ejaculate in my mouth: I took his penis out of my mouth and I used my hand on him. I think I had cuts on my gums from having flossed hard eariler that day and I'm afraid he had pre-ejaculated by the time I put his penis in my mouth, and the cuts on my gums may have exposed me to HIV. Since March I've had 3rd generation HIV antibody tests at the 3,4,5, and 6 month marks. At the 6 month mark in mid September, I also had a NAAT test and a rapid antibody test done. All of my HIV tests have been non-reactive.
Since March my digestion hasn't been normal. I've had reacurring bouts of diarrhea (sometimes lasting days) and I burp constantly. I have been having reacurring bouts of nausea, and extreme fatique. For the first two weeks of June and the first two weeks of July I had "shotty" lymph nodes under my jaw and a lymph node behind my left ear has been swollen since August 6th (Its now smaller, but still slightly swollen). Throughout July I had a rash appear on my palms and fingers. This rash consisted of about 25 or 30 small red dots which would appear about 5pm every day and last about 3 hours. I've had a reacurring sore throat, and in May and June I had several mouth ulcers.
I had a complete blood count done in August and again in October and they were normal. I've been tested for Mono, Hep A, B, and C, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and Clamydia. These tests have been fine too.
I now have a strange rash on my right knee. This rash consists of 11 small, red, pimple-like bumps and a friend suggested I may have Herpes. Do you think I do?
On Friday a nurse at an STD clinic told me to test for HIV at the 9 month mark. Should I? If you have any insights as to what may be the trouble with me I'll be very grateful.
