Welcome to the Forum. I'll b happy to comment on your questions. These encounters are all very low, or even no, risk. There are many CSWs in Dubai and the rate of HIV among them is very, very low. Further, even if one of your partners had HIV, even for unprotected vaginal sex, the risk of infection from any single encounter is low, less than 1 infection per 1000 unprotected sex acts. Finally, just to be clear, HIV is transmitted only through unprotected genital or ano-genital sexual contact. It is not transmitted by receipt of oral sex, by kissing or by touching or rubbing genitals with infected persons.
With this as background let me deal with your questions.
Questions 1 and 2. There is no risk for HIV at all from your first two encounters. Condom protected sex is safe sex and even if you did not wear a condom, there has never been a case of HIV known to result from receipt of oral sex, from touching or rubbing an infected partner.
Question 3. ....Russian Girl and we did again have Protected Sex for one time or one episode only . however after i withdrawn she came on top of me.. when i pushed her back and i believe my penis might have touched her vaginal section.
Again, no risk. Even if your penis was in contact with her genital secretions and even if she had HIV., there would still be NO risk for HIV at all.
My advice here is not to worry. Please don't worry about any of these exposures and, from a medical perspective, there is no need for testing for HIV or for any other STI.
I hope my comments are helpful. EWH
Based on the nature of your test and your test results you should be confident that you did not get HIV form the no risk encounter that you described. The data for the test are for 28, not 26 days. Nonetheless, as I have said repeatedly, you are not at risk.
Your HSV test, which was also not needed is negative. There is no evidence that you have HSV. EWH
Dr Hook,
thank you for the valuable information. However as i was not able to control my anxiety and fears. I got myself tested for Elisa test Antibody 1 and 2 . P24 test.
The Test came out to be negative . However with regards to my last encounter its not have been more than 25 days. My question is that .Should i wait for another 1 Month or so and get myself tested for complete assurance.
How reliable is the Elisa Test for Antibody I & II at 25 -26 days ? For assurance should i getting myself tested again after waiting for another Month.
Please Throw some light on it. The result of the test is as follows.
Hiv I & II Antibody+ HIV 1 p 24ag----Negative(0.33) Index
Will you be also able to tell me about this 0.33 Index and is it normal at this stage.
Thanks in advance.
I suspect you are over thinking this. Even the most conservativce estimates are that properly used condoms which do not break are more than 99% effective. Applying simply math, if an unprotected exposure leads to a 1 in 1000 risk, then with a condom, your risk becomes less than 1 in 100,000. Not something to worry about.
Symptoms as well as most information obtained over the internet, are worthless. If you cannot control yor fears, get tested, but only after you promise to believe the test results. When symptoms and test results differ, the test results always win. EWH
Hi Doctor,
Thanks once again for quick and assuring reply.
Off late i have begun to develop some symptoms like , mild fever and sore throat and itching & burning sensation under my arm pits.
I have heard from word of mouth that latex condoms do not provide 100 percent protection from STI Infections.
If that is the truth, what is percentage of catching infection as you have mentioned it is very low like 1 in 1000 sex acts.
So i am getting worried are these the symptoms of any STI like gonorrehea or syphillis.
Again can i go ahead and get the testing done for my reassurance.
Once again thanks for your answer and waiting for your reply.
