Dear alevy,
Depending on where you live, your age and your needs, there are a number of affordable options.
The first thing you should do is talk to a licensed agent in your state who represents more than one health insurance company. Working with an agent makes it easier to find the right match for your personal needs and budget, and it won’t add anything extra to your costs. If you want to take a look at your options online, there are a number of sites worth checking out – but make sure the site is run by a licensed insurance agency. Through a site like eHealthInsurance.com (where I work) you can get free quotes from a broad selection of top health insurance carriers, compare plan rates and benefits, and apply for coverage online. We also have licensed agents you can talk to over the phone at 1-800-977-8860.
Best of luck.

alevy,
There are many great plans in Florida for people your age. If you would like, I can help you take a look at different options. I am an insurance broker here in Florida and represent many different companies. I will message you my information.
You may want to call your state's insurance department to get a list of private health insurance companies. You may also want to contact your local Blue Cross to see what they can do for you.
Good Luck,
I am definitely going to look into my state's insurance department. Thanks for the advice. I want to make sure that I don't get taken advantage of because that tends to happen to me since I am young. I was wondering if you knew about how much I should expect to pay a year or if there is a way for me to know when I have found a good rate or not. I appreciate your help!
