Hello,
I'm a 37 yr old male and who has suffered with anxiety for many years. About 2 years ago, I discontinued taking Lexapro (took for about 8 - 10 years) and have been debating taking it again to help with my anxiety. Last year I was diagnosed with an IRBBB/Incomplete Right Brundle Branch Block. I am concerned about Lexapro and it's cardiovascular side effects, especially QT Prolongation which is listed as a potential side effect.
Additionally, I'd like to share that I had an echocardiogram which came back normal. Recently had a comprehensive blood test with normal results except that my cholesterol & triglycerides were a little high. I am a former smoker, quit about 2 years ago.
I'd like to get an opinion from a cardiologist point of view on benefits Vs risks of taking an SSRI with the above in mind.
Thank you for your time to read this message!
