Pectoral pain after bypass suirgery

I had coronary bypass surgery in April of 2008. Arterial grafts were taken from my leg and left chest area. Ifeel great, no sternum issues, but my left pectoral area is still gibng me issues. basically it still feels like a muscle tear and is mildly tender (no great pain, but annoying). is this normal and how long should I expect for this area to return to normal?

I have no sternum pain, all the pain, limited as it is, is isolated to the left pectoral muscle area and also the diaphragm. The pectoral muscle  is a bit puffy and if I turn or stretch to the left the muscle pulls and feels tight the same goes for the diaphragm. I assume I am still healing, but how long should this healing take (It has been nine months since surgery).

I am not sure that this is related to the surgery. What are some of your other symptoms. Is there some pain, redness or swelling in the area? If so this could be caused by a retained sternal wire, which sometimes can be cause for a great deal of pain and complaints from patients.
