Heart pain after activity?

I am 7 weeks postpartum and in the last trimester, and still today, whenever I was / am doing some kind of activity....mowing, vacuuming, etc., and then suddenly sit, I get about 5-7 seconds of noticeable hard pounding in my heart with slight pain, not pressure, just pain.

What would be causing this?

I had random palpitations during pregnancy, had a few episodes of racing heart beats, and had two EKGs and one ultrasound to check things out. Everything came back normal, and now I have these symptoms.

Is it just blood pressure related? Would that cause the slight pain?

Its difficult to know the cause of your chest symptoms from your description. It is reassuring that your EKGs and heart ultrasound (echocardiogram?) were normal. If these episodes only last for a few seconds, and occur randomly you may not see them on a 6 second EKG. One possible approach would be to get a holter monitor and observe your heart rhythm for 48 hours. You can discuss this with your physician or cardiologist.

Oh yes, and I also feel the same pain/pressure when bending over to pick something up off the floor, for example.
