I have aortic insufficiency, and mitro stenosis.  I had a cardiologist tell me that I might need a balloon put in my valve to open it more??  Never heard of that one.  They are watching me for double valve replacement. (two cases of rhuematic fever: child and adult)   Recently, I have weakened with trouble breathing and dizzyness.  My chest is hurting in the aortic region and also on the side of my neck.  I am on atenolol and coumadin.  Body temp drops after eating and at times BP is 90/50.
What do you think this chest/neck thing going on is?  ideas?

You need to have your blood pressure and pulse controlled with medications such as beta blockers to prevent the progressive dilatation of the aorta. You may also have to abstain from competitive sports, as these can raise both of those parameters. A cholesterol lowering medication may also be indicated to prevent the progression of atherosclerosis.
