Hi again,
I would also recommend that you tell your doctor about the anxiety and fear of death if these continue to limit your ability to enjoy time with friends. Drinking alcohol may offer a temporary escape but doesn't address the underlying issues that are leading to your fear and anxiety.
In addition to seeing a doctor you may want to consider a psychologist who can take time to listen to your concerns and provide you with exercises to manage and reduce your anxiety.
Since I'm a cardiologist I am of course also going to recommend that you stop smoking and reduce your alcohol intake. Smoking is not good for the heart and increases your risk of heart attacks and stroke. If you want to live a long healthy life then stopping smoking would be an important first step.
Good luck,
Take care.
Thank you so much for your response, all of this makes sense now since u brought light to it, I was not aware.
Answering your questions fistly I experienced chest pains and this made it hard for me to breath then I got headaches everyday especially when I woke up in da morning this has been happening for more than 2 years now, I'm not experiencing fevers, sweats, dizziness or altered vision and no other tests were made.
According to my understanding of anxiety I would agree that I do have it due to feeling restless, lazy, packing back and forth, start things with a vision of success in them bt give up easily out of nowhere, another thing is that I constantly and can't help or stop thinking about death I think this is because I ddnt receive councelling when both my parents passed on. Death scares me.
I am moody at times, I get irritated when freinds come and visit me everyday I usualy don't go to them, they always come to me and the only time I enjoy their company is when we drinking alcohol which is been happening since last year.
Panic attacks and racing of heart I'm not sure about them thou tingling in the lips, fingers, tounge, legs, arms actualy every part of my body tingils everyday and everytime. I'm not taking drungs except that I do drink alcohol and smoke ciggerette.
In closing I would like to just breif you that I went to.local clinic and I explained to the nurse about the headache and whole body pulsing. For headache she gave me pills for treatment and since the my headache its better than before its not everyday like before but for body pulsing he suggested I get tested for hiv hence why I went for hiv test, then he gave me some chewable tablets but they ddnt help.
Thank-you
Hi phsycomatic,
I'm glad to hear that your HIV test was negative. It sounds like you are taking some time to check out how your body and health is. This in itself can be quite stressful but getting the answers to your questions put you in a better position to look after yourself in the future.
Whole body pulsing suggests a generalised process or something that is affecting all of your body systems. To properly answer your question I would need more information, including whether you're experiencing fevers or sweats, dizziness, changes in sensation or strength, or altered vision? Were any other tests performed in addition to your HIV screen? What were the results?
Also important would be to know more about your current state of mind? Are the symptoms (body pulse) associated with anxiety or feelings of panic? Any other symptoms of panic attack such as a racing heart, rapid breathing, tingling in the lips, tingling in the fingers?
Finally I would be keen to know whether you're taking anything that might trigger the kinds of symptoms you describe. Do you drink a lot of coffee, tea, or alcohol? Do you use any other kinds of recreational drugs?
I would recommend writing some answers to each of these questions and taking them along to your family doctor. After discussing this information your doctor will be in a good position to answer your questions.
Take care and good luck.
