valium

bob
i am being treated for SVT and chronic PAC's with Tambocor which has been extremely successful(100mg TID).  i also am being treated with diovan for HTN (80mg  bid).  I am claustrophobic and my Primary care Dr prescribed me with (5mg tabs) for when I am on an airplane.  Are all of these medications compatible?  Is adding valium harmful with the others?  thank you very much.

There are no adverse drug interactions that I am aware of.

Providing the doc here says it's okay to mix these drugs i've got one other piece of advice ... you might like to try a tablet *before* your trip to see how it affects you.  For me valium takes about half an hour to kick in.  If you're already tired the affects can be more pronounced.  Lately I made the mistake of taking one far too soon before flying (i.e. pre-checkin) and had a pretty hard time at the check in desk and with my bags due to feeling very 'spaced out'.  Just a thought.
