Hello,
I would need to see the EKG to know -- you really need to know what they saw.
My question is what effects the results of EKG's?
The people doing your procedure want to take every precaution they can to prevent a complication. It is a very rare case that we do anything besides a beta blocker for peri-operative risk management. The best advice I have is to wait and see what the doctor says.
Would those meds have thrown the EKG off?
Probably not. It might have increased your heart rate, but that probably wouldn't be enough to cause concern. I think you just have to wait this one out until you see your doctor and your EKG assessed.
Good luck with your surgery.
