Not everything is related to Hepatitis C treatment. I believe it's very beneficial to have a complete physical after hepatitis C Treatment. It's been about a year and you should have a physical once a year to stay on top of your health. This would be a good time to make that appointment. It's very important you review the results of a physical examination to pin point the cause.
FYI: I'm not a doctor but what is wrong with you can be thyroid related. You do claim a thyroid condition and the majority of your symptoms sound thyroid related. I would be contacting my doctor.
Let us know the outcome.
I am experiencing thing. It has been 10 months since EOT and I feel horrible. I don't have the thyroid issue as far as I know. Achey muscles and pain in my legs. Guess it's time to get a physical. Do you have pain all day or is it sporadic? Thanks for sharing this!!

I meant to write, I am experiencing the same thing!
me too-it started 3 months post interferon/riba 8 years ago-I also cleared the virus and had thought I was recovering then bang! back to square one.
It's very important that we play close attention to our health. Most of us are beginning seniors and should not avoid going to the doctor. Hepatitis C is a serious drug therapy. These are strong drugs used to remove a virus living in your blood. Yes things can occur, change and appear due to this event.
Some people have have pre existing conditions aggravated by Hepatitis C and treatment. Many people go through chemotherapy and have lasting effects. But happy to be alive and getting a second chance at life. It may not be the exact life and things may have changes in the process but I'm glad to be living it.
Make the best of the situation. See your doctor as many times as it takes to get relief. Be positive....this post treatment process is pretty common when it comes to life saving therapies. I was very frustrated at 10 months post treatment. Give yourself more time. The water doesn't clear for everyone at the same time.

At first it was constant pain. So I increased taking Vit D & Magnesium, that seemed to help, now it just sporadic so I take Magnesium when they occur. No idea what is up with this, plus it wacked out my thyroid!
I am still not back yet and its going on 11 months post tx. I feel like I'm a mess and I'm sure everyone else agrees!
Vit D, Magnesium and lots of vitamin C seemed to make a difference. Make sure you get a full thyroid panel . You reference Hashimoto's. I hope your seeing a specialist that thyroid stuff effects your whole body including your heart. I don't want to scare you and I'm no doctor but that thyroid stuff is important. don't wait for something to happen. Find out.
Do thyroid problems cause pain?
I'm at eot 6 months and starting to feel really good. Finally. I had a terrible time with S/O and afterwards for a good 5 months. The point I'm trying to make is your feeling bad may not be related to the S/O. Like don't worry said, many of us are getting older and so will succumb easier to pain and disease.
Do you have cirrhosis? I think my cirrhosis is what kept me sick for so long.
That's what I have achey painful muscles. It never goes away. I didn't have this so much before. Treated with S/O.
Hmmm. Was just noticing that most of the comments on this thread were from those of you that took Sovaldi and Oyslio. I haven't seen this kind of response from the Sovaldi/Riba group.
Of course we all know that Interferon has its problems, but am now wondering if Oyslio is also suspect. If you think about it, you never hear of this drug being used anymore.
Personally my treatment was Sovaldi with Riba, and I feel great!
Any thoughts or comments?
Remember when that daughter posted about her Mom dying from S/O or so she thought. Whatever came of that?
I'm wondering if the tx meds did something to our calcium levels. I know those who did interferon w peg had their bones become brittle in a serious way. I have been taking Mezatrace Calcium sup and feel a bit better after a week of taking them. But it could also be that, and a combination of manual physical therapy done to jump start my DNA and Nervous System as well as increase mobility.
The women had other serious health problems and was in her 80s. As I remember she either had re occurring lymphoma or develop lymphoma while on hepatitis C treatment. The daughter was having an extra hard time dealing with her mother's death. Non Hodgekins Lymphoma can be connected to Hepatitis C. It was very sad.
I also remember that women and Dontworry has it right. As far as Calcium all women should be on it (Drs approval) as we are susceptible to "Brittle Bones" anyway.
I will tell you what's made a difference in my life it seems is Probiotics. Since treatment I can seriously tell when I've missed a dose. For whatever reason it appears that I have more energy and feel as though it affects my mood in a positive direction. Likely unscientific in nature, but personally it's made a huge impact since SVR.

Oh yes. Now I remember. Her cancer came back too.
I have to have my probiotics too. They Help.
I finished treatment late May with Sovaldi and Ribavirin. I started experiencing depression and anxiety, fatigue, etc. I am still battling the depression and anxiety. I take .5 clonipin twice a day. and I take 50 mg Paxil daily. But this depression is very stubborn. I have a couple of good days, then the next day or 2 or 3 back in the doldrums. I feel so badly for my new husband. It is hard on him also. Just don't know what to do. My doc says that this will eventually go away. It is really tough at times.
Dont forget exercise. Not only is it good for depression but helps with Osteoporosis as well. What the treatment removed and altered, simply walking 3-5Xs a week does wonders for the mind, body, spirit. Since weight bearing is what is indicated to increase bone strength, you can purchase a weighted vest to wear while walking. They are designed to be able to remove and interchange the weights for maximum comfort. WalMart has an inexpensive version but still works just as well.
Fatigue can also lead to depression. The more we move, the more energy we experience. Keep in mind these meds created confusion with our endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin levels and exercise will increase their production and help us to reregulate. Personally if I'm not walking, I'm in the pool swimming. It's a great stress releaser and helps to keep from feeling blue.

You might ask to take clonipin only .5 at night. I couldn't take clonipin during the day. You might want to ask about adjusting your Paxil doe too.
