Hep C Gone for good?

I have been free from Hep C for about 7 or 8 months now. This is my question. I was on treatment for my hep c (I had the worst one) and was on interferon, ribaviron, and somthing else. I was supposed to do 6 months of tx but because I had really bad anemia and got a rash, couldnt move from the bed, etc..I stopped at 3 months. I was so upset withmyself because I really wanted to get rid of this disease for good and the tx was so harsh. So my Dr.  Butwaited 7 months to do the final test (last month). He kept saying that he didnt think it would be gone and telling me about all the new options. Which got me so upset. So i took my final blood test and it came back that I am hepc free. Which is soo wonderful bc the treatment was so powerful even i stayed on it any longer i know i would have ended up in the hospital. But my question is, is there a chance that it could come back again? I know they say 6 months, and you will know. But how can they give that as an exact time frame. So im wondering can it ever come back again without me doing what i did to get it in the first place.

Hello, I am so happy for you.  There are a few people I have met, who treated for 9 to 12 weeks with Incivek, were forced to stop  and are still SVR
Great news for you
Take care

Congratulations on being Hep C Free.  No it's not coming back.  The only way you will have Hepatitis C again is if you are re-infected.  If your hepatitis C had returned after your treatment....it would have come back very quickly.
That's why the six month mark is a good indicator you cleared the virus.
Relax...your one of the lucky ones.  Don't worry be happy!  You did it.

Have a great life.
