Sorry...i meant to say slow responder....in my first tx i also was 412 copies at week 12...but i cleared just after
Unfortunately you are in the same boat as me (assuming that you are a geno1).
Although you did kill off a whole lot of those suckers it does look like if you are a geno 1 you need to now start discussing extending to 72 weeks. I had to do it and I have been cured for two years. It DOES work.
It sounds just dreadful, going that long, but once you hit a certain patch of the road its like you don't have as much problems just driving along till the end. Really. You just hit cruise control and go....and all of a sudden it's like 'wow, it's over already?'. Really.
You can do it, just make sure you get a good doc - one that you trust and take it from there.
Good luck.
Marcia is right. He had more than a 2 log drop by 12 weeks but is not UND. So he is a slow responder. I would talk to the Dr. about extending treatment and also make sure he is getting enough Riba for his weight.
Not a non-responder, but a slow responder.
If you are genotype 1, this is the time to start discussing extending treatment with your doctor. If you are geno 2 or 3, you would have to stop treatment and regroup.
looks like you didnt clear by week 12...sorry to say this...but you are a non responder...i feel someone has to tell you...how much riba are you taking and whats your weight?
Excuse the question, I just saw the heading.
That's great! How far into tx are you?
