What was the point

What was the point of this thread if it is just going to closed and lost in to the abyss

Hi, folks,

The thread referred to in the original post here is still there.  Its purpose was to help clarify the differences between the Medical and Social sides.  Having done that, Emily then closed the thread.

As for why there may be social issues on the medical side and vice versa, the likeliest reason is that we haven't received an alert to review it.  If you click the "Report" link on a post you feel is misplaced, we'll take a look.

If, as Emily stated in the other thread, you have any other questions, please feel free to PM her or any of us.

I agree, there should be some level of consistency. News about hep c seems important for all and should be on the other side.

In my experience here it seems like even the moderators are not on the same page. Weekends things get put over here that wouldn't be during the week.

"Don't look like it matters as it seems the mods are not on the same page on what go's where"

I agree there doesn't seem to be any consistency what so ever.

It's strange to close a thread, which serves as a reminder, because then it can no longer be bumped up, to serve it's original purpose.

I'm thinking I agree with you on that one. Most of the new posts related to that recent CDC Boomer/HCV article were moved to the social side but one is still on the medical side. Not that I care but it seems like a recent example of consensus (or maybe lack of it) in evaluating the Medical or Social criteria
