4th shot last night

I'm feeling pretty good today. Happy to see all who are just beginning this tx at around the same time as me. So far this is the way it's gone:

Wk 1=chills, a little fever, freezing cold, some body aches, and PANIC, and short fuse, no make that no fuse
Wk 2 = all of the above to a lesser degree, still a lot of anxiety, NO short term memory, aphasia... forget all my good communication skills!
Wk 3= Got anemic over the course of a week. Totally out of breath, weak, white as a ghost. PANIC and sooo tired & scared.
Wk 4= Bloods back up, now I feel better, though still aggitated & exhausted.

That anemia was extreme. Makes me dysfunctional, though I know I have a lot to be grateful for.
Does the anemia come and go like this over the course of the 48 weeks? Anyone experience similar?

Sending out good energy and hope to everyone...

Hope you are OK. The first week was the worst for me, especially phychologically, and the chills... turned the heat way up and wore many layers of clothes.

I am on 180 mcg Peg./wk. and 1,000 mg/day riba. I have found that if I sleep through the bad times, it's a LOT easier than trying to bear it and do something to distract myself. I am not a sleeper, but have changed my ways. The important thing is to get through tx, even if it means I only get the really necessary things done at the last minute.

Many times I feel too bad to even sit down at the computer. The first days are the hardest. Oh, make sure you eat red meat every day. It will make you feel stronger and help your blood levels recover if the meds knock them down. We can't take iron supplements, but I found a really good supplement called Selenimmune that I believe stabelizes me at www.liverdoctor.com. You can call them and speak to a naturopath on staff who is very informative. Also, try eating a banana a day. The potassium in it helps with the anemia dizzyness.

Take care,
Jan

You doing good keep it up.
On my first tx I`ve got panicagnesty attacs of the teribble kind , that was after 2 weeks, thought I`d never gonna make it all the way, but the panic faided away so I made it 24 weeks, relapsed though, waited 10 months now I´m on my sec tx gonna take shot 8 of 48  thirsday . it has been much easier this time so far, but i know bad times comes and goes. Although i did´nt got SVR after first tx.I still think I`ve got so much benefits out of it. Like for instans problems with stiffnes in neck and back, kneepain that I´ve had for years at first got wors during tx but three months after and until now better than for many years that keeps me motivated to do it again .
