Hello Roomies!

Hello happy Heppers!
Dang, it's been a long time since I poked my nose in here...I still see a lot of old names from a few years ago when I waged war on my dragon, -and a LOT of new names too! Well, good news so far...I am still SVR 16 months post tx, and have made it to my 45th birthday in healthy and happy shape! Whoo hoo! I'd like to assure all of those poor souls who are enduring txing, that if it works, and you regain your health, it is SOOOOO worth it. No more joint pains, body aches, thyroid yucks, female hormone issues (at least not yet..) mystery liver pangs, low blood sugars, heartburn, or brain fog! The Riba rash scratchies go away, your hair grows back (when mine first came in it looked an awful lot like silver pubic hair!!! Was that somebody's idea of a joke?!?)  So, my latest liver stats? AST 15, ALT 16, VL 0...Life is good...(I am/was a 3a with a vl of 264,000 grade 1, stage 1 after having Hep c for 5 years before starting txing...) Good luck to the newbies and happy Holidays to all! ((((((((((HUGZ))))))))))) ~Melinda

Good to see you around. 16 months ago is when I started tx :-)  A few months after I joined MH. I was also a 3a and finished tx 8 months ago. Still SVR

It is strange how time flies, once one has reached SVR. I guess it is because there is no more waiting. And the daily suffering of these crazy drugs is getting further and further away.

Hugs to you Melinda,

marcia
