Elaine: So good to see you post - Hugs.
LL: Sailing is a wonderful experience. As soon as I get another boat, you are invited to sail with me.
Now that was very touching! Very true words. How we wish we could just tell our children, others the things we NOW know....but we can't (much). Live and learn is the way it has to be. Though......living and learning comes with many happy, deep, insightful moments with often even the hardest later looked on as blessings in disguise.
Now your making me wonder....am I enjoying the 'lessons' of the present as I should be?
I absolutely love how you see the world, life, nature, beauty. We get so busy in our life's and forget so much. Your very good at bringing that back to mind. You still see life through the eye's of a child, yet with maturity and wisdom. It reminds me of what my dear friend that passed in 06 once said in a ‘friends questioner’ …...
Q. How old is LL?
A: She is 43 but looks 33 in the morning and 28 in candlelight (she was kind:) , parties like 17, looks at the world with the sense of wonder of a 5 yr old, but with the wisdom of 105!
What an answer! She was so unique and I am so glad your post brought all this back to mind as in the past couple years....I've strayed a bit from my belief in never forget to stop and smell the rose's.....something I have preached to others all my life. Her answer could well describe you. (except we’re older and can’t party as much:)
Love your many thoughts Eric, I need them, keep them coming. And your definitely making me want to sail, something I never thought a lot about.
LL
Eric,
That's what I needed... perspective and It's been so long it seems that I've been here that I let life get in the way. Thanks for your words Eric!
Scott (just did my 12 week blood work after the fact and awaiting the results...) Thinking and living in the future, so to speak...
We all make our own footprints in the sand, no?
Life is good, hills and valleys alike, I know that feeling, youth and promise and all comes after, it is both inspiring to see the world continue, and sad to know that it will not always be so perfect.
Beautiful amico mia!
Deb

Marcia
