GrammyA Update - Good and Bad!

So many of you - in countless ways have made the past 5 weeks for me less lonely!  I will forever be grateful for each of you!  Just got my 4 week results back and YES, YES, YES - I am UNdetectable!!!!  I hope this gives me the strength to continue to the 48 week end result.  The PROBLEM is I still have these horrible headaches daily!  They have tried, advil, aleeve, tramadol, Imitrex, hydrocodone, tylenol, hot baths, cold baths, cold packs, hot packs - and alas still the headaches come with a surging and pounding beyond any I have ever known.  Obviously, they are chemically induced....duh- but which chemical?  Can any of you tell me if you think after the Incivik drops off after the 12 week mark that these headaches may go away too?????  If any of you have something else I can try- I am game.  They are in the back of my head from the neck up to the top, from ear to ear and so very painful.  The doctors are now perplexed as to what to do next so maybe some of you wise ones can help me direct them to a good resolve.
I appreciate all of you so much - blessings!

Ask your doc what he thinks about using a migraine-type protocol - darkened room, hot compress on back of neck, Fiorcet, acupuncture.

Hey Congrats on being UND!
Other than taking Tylenol (which is what everyone says) I am not sure what to suggest. Headaches can be pretty complicated on these meds and managing them is often easier when you have an idea how they evolve.

Is there any kind of pattern such as time of day you get the headache. How about after you take your meds? How long does it last and does it just sort of fade away? Trouble shooting like that might help you change a few things to avert a head ache.

I don't remember headaches that I thought was related to the Incivek. In the first few months my nightly Riba dose gave me a spitting headache. My head would get really hot and there was this sound like a tennis shoe in the dryer. I later realised that sound was my heart beat. In my case I needed to start taking my Riba much earlier. It sounds like common sense now but it took me a while to figure that out :)

I agree with those who say you will feel better after the Incivek. But if your headaches do not subside or nothing works then maybe your doctor will have some ideas. You should not have to walk around with your head throbbing all the time. I imagine it must be very distracting.
Feel better.

Congratulations, as bad as we feel during treatment, it is so worth it! Have you tried some gentle neck/shoulder stretching for the headaches? Don't know about headaches, but I felt 1000 times better after ending incivek. Good luck and I hope you get some relief.

Congratulations on being UND at 4 weeks. That is fantastic news.

I don't know about the headaches. You have tried all of the things I would have tried. I still would see a neurologist, I think, although I suspect they are drug induced by one of the drugs.  Hopefully, they will subside soon or at least when the Inc is finished.

Make sure you are drinking lots of water.   8 16oz glasses a day.  Water
that isn't cold is easier to drink.  This is very important during treatment.
Congrats on be UN at week 4.  Theres nothing like hearing that good news.
