This time of year reminds us to focus on what we have to be thankful for.
I am grateful to be living life, healthy and free of hep C, a transplant survivor for over 6 years now. I'm grateful for the people in my life, who care and who I care for~ the love of family and friends, and corny as it sounds, the kindness of strangers.
I'm thankful to live in a place of beauty, for the solidity of my home, for the garden that sustains me.
I'm thankful for learning loving kindness meditation~ turning my thoughts towards the well being of all sentient beings.
I'm grateful for the creative spirit, the muse that inspires, the ability to dance, paint, garden, cook with imagination and smile.
I'm thankful to have a mother who loves me unconditionally, who has lost many of her senses with old age yet, still maintains a good sense of humor. Thanks Ma !
And I am grateful to have learned to face my fears head on, to watch them disintegrate, which curiously happened only by facing my mortality during my close-to-death experience with hep C.
Now, it's your turn, what are you thankful/grateful for this season ????
