Not to hijack the thred, but I don't get all  this "banned from the forum" stuff. I have heard this several times. Can someone really do that and why?

I had always had a really hard time at math and algebra until I got the right teacher.  I had dropped algebra twice until I got him.  This teacher could make algebra visual.  He handed out cheat sheets that would tell you how to solve problems.  He was excited and engaging.  He taught junior high math and taught Pre-Algebra, and I and II for college.  After I had his class, I never had trouble passing my math classes.  Do you have an option to take introductory algebra (that won't count for college credit) try and talk to other students to find out who the good teacher is.   My other suggestion is always do the homework - never get behind or you will never catch up.

Good luck Grasshopper!

Glad you turned back up. I don't know if you saw my response (it was kind of off topic) about getting Algebra II for Dummies. It will help you with not only the Algebra but the pre algebra stuff like fractions, which I had forgotten how to do.
Newleaf: if he's getting an AAS, he needs the math. I have one in Printing Technology Management. I had to take a combo class Algebra and Trig as part of it. I'm on a BS now and Calculus and Linear Algebra were involved. Any degree ending in 'S' is gonna have the math! Brutal, but there's good $ to be made once mine is complete.

Rocker, read through this thread.  You post so often and change your page so much that if you are out we all worry about you.  You'd think that you'd died!  Hang in there; can't believe they want you to pass algebra for technical college.  School will be a good distraction while you're finishing TX and getting back in shape.

Rocker list another forum's URL in another post..  Hopefully that didn't cause him to be banned. You are right Winner, about the twist, he made me laugh as well as think on numerous occasions.

I'd like to know how the anti-dementia meds go.  I'm expecting to recover my brain function later in the year but honestly, if I open one more door with no idea why I am there, I will scream.  I turned down the opportunity to be on an important municipal planning commission yesterday because I am unsure if my short-term memory will recover in time to be useful to them

If he were 'banned' his page would be gone along with all of his postings. It seems that a lot of people have just stopped posting. Either couldn't deal with MedHelp's moderators or just moved on. It happens, especially on forums full of IFN patients ;-) Hopefully he'll be back to let us know how his tx turned out.
I feel IFN accelerates the aging process in many ways and a lot of us end up grumpy old men and women in, otherwise, healthy 50 something year old bodies. I know I feel way better since my neurologist started me on an 'off-label' course of anti-dementia meds. Supposedly for my neuropathy :-D
