Foods

I have been nauseated, after I eat, for the last 6 weeks. I'm going into week 19 in a clinical trial and could be also taking BMS790052 (a NS5A inhibitor} or placebo. The 10 mg. pill tastes like chalk,  while the 30 mg. pill tastes putrid. I think I'm taking the real 30 mg. thing. Achieved a SVR at week 12, with genotype a1. Is there foods to favor in order to curb nausea or is there anything else you can do? Could taking up to 1600 mg. per day, of ibuprofen, be a cause of this?

Thanks for the link. Just did my weekly shot 20 min. ago, drank some s pellegrino, had a few pieces of candied ginger and my nausea is gone.yeh!!!!!!  I've only barfed a few times. I could loose 15 pounds anyway. I gag every time I brush my teeth. I see my study Doctor for 5 min. once a month. He says things are going well for me so I pretty much leave it at that. He pissed me off the first time we met by one of his comments but I've let it go. The study nurse is very good!  I have seen her more. I ask her the questions . She seems very knowledgeable. I just signed into this site yesterday. Very good info!     To tell you the truth I'm lucky to be alive. Just keep dodging those bullets.I must have a guardian angel. So a bit of nausea is something I can deal with. Thanks again   Pedro007

Here's a link to another thread on nausea.  I would cut back on the ibuprofin and talk to your doctor.  Ibuprofin should be taken with food and it sounds like that is difficult for you now.  It seems like your study doctors would be paying attention to the side effects.  Are they no help?
