Grateful

Sorry not really a question but comments are so helpful. I love this forum and the feeling of fellowship with people in similar circumstances.
I watch a lot of movies and read alot during this downtime and while the side effects suck, I am grateful they aren't worse.
In  "Out of Africa" the author got syphilis and was
Treated for a year with arsenic! I'm sure her sx sucked but she survived them and was cured.
In "my sisters keeper" a child endured bone marrow  transplants and chemo. Now that *****!
In "50/50" (which is really funny in spite of the subject) he underwent chemo and major surgery.
Anyway just saying...I'm grateful it isn't worse. This, I can conquer.
Good luck, positive thoughts and prayers to us all.

I watched Out of Africa again a few weeks ago. Wow. I've read a lot of her books. She lived a long life. Glad you found the forum too. Karen :)

I agree, this forum gives us a connection that is so important as we work through this disease and treatment.  I am currently in a clinical trial and through this experience, am now having the joy of getting spiritual healing as God makes for the physical healing.  Before treatment, my faith was not there and today I am learning how to have it.  Hope that all goes well for you.

It is so true, there is always someone who has it worse than we do.

I also love these words from the famous Dr. Suess -

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

As you can tell, I have little kids at home but these words bring a smile to my face when I think I just can't do it.
