Yup. Something similar happened to me. I'm at week 52 of 72 and my worst SX used to be 2 or 3 days after injection.
Now, much of the time, it's worse the day or 2 BEFORE injection. It's almost like your body starts craving the meds.
Very weird, I know.

ps - the switch for me didn't happen until around week 40.
I'm only in week ten of tx, but for the past couple of weeks the day before my shot has been BAD. Everything my doc told me about sx I think I can just throw out the window.
It's nice to know I'm not the only wierd one out there...
no not alone, was in the same boat the first 12/14 weeks. Did not get sick the day of but the day after and after… and started feeling better two days before the next shot. But! while starting to feel better (some what), during the week, Thursday before the Fridays shot there was an unsettling anger or rage building up but after the shot it calmed down to some degree. My guess is that the interferon is at its lowest point in your system and your body may have not reached the saturation point yet but will in time to where it will be less noticeable. Congrats for making it to week 12 before getting sick.

here is one other thought, Riba is the extender of the interferon and the interferon lessens over time but the riba is dosed everyday at about the same time. So what you may be feeling at the end of the down slop of the interferon is the constant effects of the riba. If you read the pamphlets provided with the meds it will spell it out as to the time duration of each drug.
Hang in there

Peg would mess up the major portion of the gen-pop, but see ?-?-? We thrive on the stuff.
Are you having sx after the shot still / too?
Mayday the sx are not bad after shot right now i have actually been waking up the day after the shot thinking hey I feel preety good. Just a little headache the day after but day before shot No energy and just plain sick high fever and body aches.
Jasper it makes sense that when the interferone is at a low Level that the riba would be more noticed. I did get sick the 1st couple weeks but not like this. I went and had a CBC drawn today before the shot. We'll see what that says.

I had the same thing. I would actually sometimes take my shot early by a couple hours just to feel better.... weird. My doc thought so too (weird), and he treats a lot of hep patients. I worried about ending treament and the withdrawl symptoms, and thought about a taper to wean off. Turned out OK - I didn't miss it one bit :)
i did experience withdrawl after tx was over, but the euphoria of it just being over way surpasses any discomfort. during tx i could never figure out any rhyme or reason as to how i was feeling each day, it just basically sucked. chellski
