Thanks for your comment. I went to my hep C Dr. yesterday and since my one leg has been swollen for 3 months, I was worried. He said he didn't know why it was swollen, end of story. My legs are so painful I can hardly walk, he gave my amitriptilyne, which is an AD but helps pain in small doses over time. I have been on the AD Remeron for 3 months and I have been very irritable and depressed this last month. The first 2 months Remeron helped my Depression. Now I feel like putting my fist through the wall. Was reading some dope on Remeron and found that other people have had leg pain, weight gain and high blood pressure from it. I see my Dr. today and will ask about it. That could be all thats wrong. Good luck to you.
I to have had Hep-C for a long time, 1968. It not a good way to feel all the time. The treatments are as harsh as you can expect. Its like the flu 24/ 7 and never getting over it. I went through three and never cleared it all the way. My viral load is 720,000 down from 4 million in 2001. I just went through new chemo Nexavar for stage 4 liver cancer that the doctor said I wasn't going to live very long, with are without it. I'm cancer free today and the Hep-C is lowest its been in years. I still take the Nexavar along with a supplement nutritional shake three times a day. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so look at my profile pictures. The doctor knows that the chemo alone did not cure the cancer, supplements, eating correctly and a will to do everything you can to feel better is a must. I to am a Nortel tech and know that stress has alot to do with getting better. Retiring was the best thing I could have done to get the proper rest.
