During the three years pre transplant through 5 failed treatments, I smoked daily with a Medical Marijuana card in hand. In Nevada it is legal to smoke Medical Marijuana and to grow it, as long as you don't have more than four plants blooming at the same time, and are allowed to cultivate up to seven plants.
The down side... You can't buy Medical Marijuana anywhere in Nevada. No dispensaries. I was told to stop using when the doctor knew I was due for a transplant. The rule at the Chicago hospital where I had the transplant was no street drugs, alcohol or tobacco six months prior to your transplant. They have tests to show if you're guilty, and you will not get a liver. Otherwise, it's up to you...

Is this a problem for any of you?
Is this a problem for any of you?
They will always say not recommended because it is an illegal drug & it takes money away from big pharma
Look up drug interactions,if there is no info anywhere on it don't take the risk.
All the best to you.
HI, I treated with interferon and riba, smoked pot right through, fibrosis reversed while I was smoking it.
Orphanedhawk, read loads of your post, nice to hear your loving life now,
best wishes Deb
When I was doing Sofos & Riba....they told me, they don't care about pot only alcohol......
Alcohol no-no
weed.....didn't care....
I did interferon treatment and my doc was a-okay about my using cannabis during treatment. Essentially, he was okay with most things if it helped me complete treatment.
It most certainly helped me with the intense muscle pain from interferon. I can't say about the newer meds but I doubt there'd be a problem.
