Wow!  I just posted a question on this side that was deemed political, new to me!  Anyways, I had posted to the other side when I first came back to say hey and I had completely forgot about this side here.  So today I posted on this side to say hello to a few of the members who I missed and was glad to see when I came back, Walrus, mikesimon, Andiamo, orphanedhawk and other' names too many to mention.   I also got an email to pick the (Best Answer) to my question.  When did they start that and why?   What if somone picks the wrong (Best Answer)?   Anyways don't forget to do your civic duty on Tuesday y'all!!

Good to see you!!!  I'm doing well and I just started a 3yr follow-up study at my clinical trial site.  They take good care of me there and although I may not become eligible for one of their clinical trials, I still feel good keeping on top of my HepC blood work.  I'm coming up on time to have a liver biopsy done again, so you know never a dull moment! lol  

I had a very good friend die last month from this disease and it was extremely ugly, poor guy.  That said, the dude wouldn't stop drinking!!  I got another friend who lives right down the street from him and she's going thru the same krap!  She is steadily drinking and is now dealing with ascities, it just recently started but she won't stop drinking either.  It's a sad commentary on some kids I used to run with back in the day, from addicts to drunks!  Ouch!  That's some sad stuff there,  Anyways, now that I got myself all sad and thoughtful it's time for me to call it a night.  Yeah, that's how the man up stairs watches out for me, now I get to sleep off my consciousness. lol

Glad you're still here Brent and I hope you're doing well.  Yeah, it's a new and interesting board with fresh new ppl, more will be revealed as I go along I'm sure!!  Good to see that there's still alot of ppl here offering support as I don't know where I would have turned with all the questions I had and now I feel like I gotta learn everything all over again or at least read along with the questions asked and get my brain tuned up. lol  That'll be fun!!

Yeah we really fought against this stuff (what if someone comes on later and posts a better answer for example and boy it sure did promote volumes with everyone going hey I only have one star this *****!).............

No politics or religion either.  We've gotten into some pretty big knockdowns around here with both subjects and I guess they figure the rule is better than banning 2/3 of the forum!

I swoop in from time to time.
In my opinion this forum has always been a bit pollyannaesque but that's just my view from afar.
All this stuff with stars and best answers seems silly to me. I just ignore it.

I just got my absentee ballot and will be voting via fax.

Hiya, Fretboard; good to see you back!

Medhelp started the ‘Best Answer’ thing much to the consternation and objections of many of us in here; it obviously promotes quantity over quality of replies. I suppose it’s intended to promote others to comment somehow… but jeez…

It’s obviously up to you as to who you choose for best answer; or even if you decide to choose at all. I pretty much ignore those notices myself.

And yeah, political and religious subjects tend to be contentious and are verboten now in here; I sort of agree there are probably better venues to argue/discuss those topics, but hey; what do I know :o)?
