What absence? NY girl posted as recently as Friday and rarely posts on weekends. I'm sure she will be posting tomorrow from work. But while I've got you -- I think you've advocated drinking aloe vera? If so, is there much difference between the juice and the gel, and how much do you suggest a day?
All the best,

shows what I know, I just know that sometimes the interferon hangover happens, and just hoping she's alright, guess this comes from only scanning...
I take 4oz of aloe vera juice a day, with water and my Ultrafiber and little bit of fruit juice, it's really good for the skin and elimination Jim...I used to get the really expensive kind, but I really think the Trader Joe's version is pretty good, and cheap...hope youre well...
I originally tried one brand that tasted like sh*t. the latest brand of Aloe Vera Juice almost has no taste. Hopefully it works just as good. Does yours have the strong taste or not?

I know aloe vera is great for burns. Will it help get rid of the under-the-skin itchies? Or does it just help with the dryness of the skin? thanks
Jim, some things are important and you have to kinda develop a taste for them, the stronger the concentration, the more the taste I'd guess...the Trader Joe's kind (don't know if youre in the area of one) is mid-level I guess, I have some other brands to recommend if you don't...if you put some other kind of fruit juice in it, along with some water, you might kinda like it like me, or not hate it at least, ha ha!
OH: I just think it's good for the skin, I'm sure no expert, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt your skin, that's for sure, and I'm sure it could only help, it really helps with the moisture, etc...it's historically known for it's healing properties, many people use it topically for burns, etc..as you prob know...but for something like that, you might need something topical and maybe ask your dermatologist? I know a lot of people here say that it gets better if you constantly and consistenly moisturize, but I've only heard this here....That's Jim's area...ha ha!
Yes, Aloe reportedly has skin soothing/anti-imflammatory properties ,but the gel didn't help me at all on treatment with my rosacea and seb derm. Nor did tea tree oil or any of the other natural remedies. Doesn't mean they don't work, just that given some of our skin conditions, and being on the treatment drugs, often requires something more agressive.

Aloe vera didn't help my skin either, and tea tree made things worse.
But chamomile and comfrey helped.
I can't get that slimy sh*t down either, plain disgusting, no matter what our foresee here says...pfui.
I got to see what that German article said.
Ina
you crack me up...he he he
