I just wanted to let you know my heart goes out to you.  I am in a similiar situation with my brother. He is also dying because he needs a liver & it is not the easiest thing to do when a patient finds out too late that a transplant is needed.  It was 3 months after being diagnosed that the transplant team had him in for visit, then he had to go thru about 9 differerent medical tests & now they are telling him he is not eligible for a transplant.  I wish I had a better answer to give you but I am sorry I just don't. That is not to say to just give up though, speak with your father's doctors & ask them what is to be done.  They would have the answer to that question
