Eric,

I have an appt. at Shand's on May 20th.  I don't know if there's anything available for me, but maybe there will be something...     I'm just going to keep on following up the different avenues....    It's been 10 mon. since I was taken out of the trial.   Physically, I'm not doing all that bad, all things considered.  Yea, my LFT's are still elevated, but not extremely so.  I have NO IDEA what my viral load is because they don't run it when I'm not treating, or getting ready to start treatment.  I still get the ultrasounds and AFP every 6 mon. because the G.I. requests that I do it.  I really wish that Vertex would come back and say, Prove 3 Group C people - guess what we've modified the original protocol and we're going to offer you an opportunity to treat with all 3 drugs.  But, I don't think that they're going to do that.  I was told no, as far as participating in the next phase of Vertex trials.   Susan

I was undetectable by week 2.

I think many doctors now consider 12 weeks to be a SVR except for those with cirrhosis.

Eric,

Wholly Moley!!!  I missed this!!!

Wow Eric...this is very good news!  Do you know exactly when you first became UND?  RVR, the sooner the better, is best.

OK...now you need to hunker down and wait for 12 week post tx.  As you probably know people who RVR, UND at post tx week 4, UND post tx week 12....almost ALL go on to UND  24 week post tx which is SVR!!!

Happy sailing!

There are too many to name, but I want you all to know how wonderful I think you are.

There are certainly days when we all feel it is impossible to keep going, but the forum provides a sense of contact with other people that share the experience; they can provide support in a way that treatment naive people just can't do no matter how much they love us.

Way to go bro! That's fabulous news and it's just a hint of things to come. You've got it in the bag dude, better start planning out a serious sailing itinerary because the tradewinds are going to be blowing your way for the rest of your life. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy too, congrats man you EARNED it - in spades! And keep playin' that VRTX too, that'll keep ya in diesel fuel and sail cloth! ;-)

Doesn't everyone agree that this is THE BEST news of THE YEAR ????? You to Trish !I think everyone should post again and again and make these guys cry with happiness..I am sitting here thinking how this disease makes our minutes in life seem so hohum, no matter what you do, who you see, ALWAYS hep is always there. Just to know that these guys have made it this far and know that clearing this devil is just a matter of the LAST shot or dose of riba. You guys will clear this demon! I am going to go right now and address a letter to Jesus .In Jesus' Name, 4-27-08.First of all, Thank you God for giving us all the technology to have the medicines we do have to fight this dreadful beast.
I'm again asking you give us "ALL" the energy, strength, and knowledge to fight this beast. We all need to be consoled, meaning, public knowledge that this disease isn't because we've been bad, just unlucky.Put your hands on Trish and Andiamo and clear them forever, as well as all of us.Help everyone clear their minds of brainfog so we can make good decisions.Monday morning when it's time to begin the work week let all of pull the bandaid off and feel good.Let us keep our hair.Help our hair stay intack.God I hope this doesn't sound silly to you as I sit here and tears start to fall because I know my biopsy on Friday was just a start for me and some of these guys on this forum have been fighting to stay alive.I'm praying for you guys with all I have and hope everyone hears good news as the year keeps rolling by.Thank You, Jesus             Amen,Tammy
P.S.I'm putting this letter in GOD"S BOX.meaning it's now on his shoulders and you can forget about it as long as you want when you need to because He will carry us when we need him to.God Bless you Trish and Andiamo, again and again , CONGRATULATIONS
