I purchased about three yaers ago a " Caress" latex foam pillow. Its like sleeping on air.
Sure came in handy being on tx. I would HIGHLY reccomend it.
You can probably google it.
Great pillow!!
Pleasant dreams....:} LOL
Charm
`Well...ive finally got my new pillow...i did my research and i choose a 100% duck feather pillow...its not a DOWN pillow but there waterfowl pillows are pretty close to down...and the cost was reasonable....24.99....its a good pillow...im tired if the cheap foam polyfill
Duck feathers rank next. They also have a curved quill shaft, but are less curved and weaker than the
shaft of goose feathers. They are, therefore, less buoyant and less durable. Duck feathers are
narrower, more pointed and have fewer soft, fluffy fibers growing from the base of the quill shaft
than goose feathers. They are firmer and less expensive than goose feathers

I got these pillows at Costco a couple years back. They're memory foam on one side and I think fiber fill on the other. I bought one at first, and went right back to buy another for my King size, afraid they would sell out. I love them. That one you linked to sounds interesting. Gel sounds comfortable.
I kept the synthietic down pillow...ITS AMAZING....i just lay down in in for a few minutes and i LOVE IT already.....some say its the best pillow on the market....again...I LOVE THIS PILLOW SO FAR....cant wait to sleep tonite
What Is a Gel Pillow?
A gel pillow is not filled with any type of gel or liquid-like substance. Rather, it is filled with polyester gel fibers. This makes the pillow similar to a traditional polyester / synthetic-filled pillow in some ways. However, polyester gel does have some unique properties. Namely, it has a similar feel to goose down, yet retains the hypoallergenic characteristics of polyester fill.

Sorry Ron, wasn't on since yesterday.
I sleep on my tummy, too. I have tried to change this habit and cannot do it. It's agonizing trying to fall asleep on my back...
My pillow needs to be soft/fluffy and almost flat and I sleep on the corner of the pillow.... strange beings we are. I take my pillow with me when I travel, even to the best hotels. I can sleep where ever, as long as I got my own pillow. I took it all the way up to the desert in Mali. Sometimes one can end up sleeping in the most uncomfortable places, but the pillow does the trick.
In Mali and Indonesia I have left duplicates of the same pillow.... lol...
Anyway, I cannot sleep on feathers, freaks me out and the smell, my doggy nose can't take. I actually use a simple IKEA pillow, which is NOT one for tummy sleepers.
That works best for me. I've gone through so many pillows.
I'm the same as Marcia, take my pillow wherever I go, comes in handy on the plane! I favour a medium to thin, flat latex foam pillow (prefer the Dunlopillo range). Get severe neck and shoulder problems without it. A bit more expensive but a pain free neck is worth it for me.
Well,i just slept on the my new down fiber gel pillow last nite and i must admit its an excellent pillow....i find when my face is into it,there is no pressure and i dont turn as much, its also soft enuff to use as tummy or side sleeper....i cant sleep on my back either...i find if i slept on my back my moth goes bone dry....they also use this fiber gel pillow in the expensive hotels
Heres a tip to make your pillow last longer and stay fresh and get a better sleep...wash you face and hair before you go to bed...the oils and sweat from the day will be removed and this will actually allow your head and face to breathe...
Ten percent of the weight of a two year old pillow can be composed of dead mites and their droppings.
encasements with high thread counts (260 or more threads per inch) can prevent dust mites from crawling in and out of the pillow's interior.
Avoid going to bed with wet hair. Moist hair and bedding attracts swarms of dust mites
Being exposed to allergens on an on-going basis can make you feel tired and worn out all the time, as your body is working extra hard to defend itself and expel the allergens. Plus, being congested at night can lead to a poor night's sleep, weakening your immune system and leaving you feeling exhausted and miserable. Stopping dust mite allergens where they start is an effective and easy way to cut down on allergy symptoms, get a better night's sleep, and help strengthen your immune system by putting less strain on your body. All this from a simple pillow cover!
I love my new pilow...i do get a better sleep...in the morning my face no longer feels like it has been hot by a mack truck...cheap pillows = cheap sleep
Going back to the original question....Is it possible for latex to be anything other than organic. And to take it one step further, what were those ducks fed that gave up the feathers. And further, what are those duck doing now? Sounds like whether the choice is latex or feathers it is not exactly 'be kind to animals and other living things week'.
Mine is made from "fake feathers"...its the new alternative down..QUACK...QUACK
I have a latex mattress and it is awesome....it cost some major bucks, but I got tired of sleeping around the coils in my old mattress. It should last for more than 20 years.
