I gotta a place down south where the sun don't shine.
There is a place up further north of us where the sun shines for 6 months straight.
So, lavender scented coconut alcohol. Can you mix it with DMSO or are straight shots better?
Goof:
Down there in the bottom of the water. I bet you thought it was just tar balls.
BTW: Does anyone else think its odd that a Candian is posting about sunscreen? Do they really have any of that up there?
Goof:
Oh that's what that flaky stuff down there is.
Down where, exactly?

I use a crystal deodorant stone and my toothpaste is all organic
Organic toothpaste, also known as herbal toothpaste, consists of all-natural ingredients. Unlike conventional toothpaste, most brands of organic toothpaste display their ingredients on the packaging or on the manufacturer's website. Many brands of organic toothpaste are made using essential oil and do not contain controversial ingredients, like fluoride, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), triclosan and artificial sweeteners and colorings. All organic items are made with ingredients that haven't been sprayed with pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers, making organic toothpaste a safe choice for children.

Q: What ever happened to something called common sense?
A: I think it collected on the bottom of the water distiller.
What I like about the VCO is how slippery it is.
Once upon a time my spouse and I used to joke about the cancer causing agent of the week. Living can kill you!
What ever happened to something called common sense?
We need some sun for vitamin D but too much causes prune skin and possible suncancer.
I like the route of moderation, using sunblock on my hands, wearing a sunhat and getting some sun.
Rocker, I agree with you on a lot of things but your approach is so negative.
Greed is problematic but the only way to combat greed is within yourself.
The best way to feel better about the world is to do something good for others, try random acts of kindness.
Anyway, thats my humble opinion.
OH
Oh, gawd, Diane… don’t ask. You really don't want to know, do you :o)?
It seems if there’s a scam going around involving sunscreen, it’d be this HEIKO brand. If you remove all the herbs, seeds and stems, what you have left is good old zinc oxide as an active ingredient… the white chemicaly stuff life guards have been smearing on their noses for decades. I wonder how much more they charge for this HEIKO?

Are you serious about not putting anything on your skin that you can't eat? What do you wash your skin and hair with?
Not only is VCO good for protecting it's actually really good for putting on after you've been in the sun it really helps replenish your skin's moisture levels. Way better than the store bought hulk green aloe vera! Unless you have an aloe vera plant or a farmers market close by coconut oil is a great alternative.
and it smells great :)
Ingredients: HEIKO IS THE BRAND
Aqua(Water),Helianthus Annuus, Sunflower Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylatel Caprate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Olea Europaea(Olive), Glycerin, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Coco-Glucoside, Coconut Alcohol, Lavandula Angustifolia, Essential Oil(Lavender), Gluconolactone(and)Sodium Benzoate (Natural Sources),Tocopheol,Xanthan Gum, Phosphoric Acid,Cinnamomum Cassia Leaf Oil.
Active Ingredient:Zinc Oxide 18%
Earlier this year, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) analyzed 785 sunscreens. A shocking 84% were found to provide inadequate protection from the sun's rays, or they contained ingredients that posed safety concerns. Harmful chemicals in sunscreen formula have been identified: PABA, benzophenone-3, homosalate, octyl-methoxycinnamate (OMC) and 4-methyl-benzylidene camphor (4- MBC).
There is no such thing as a "natural" sunscreen. If you want GOOD sunscreen that will protect you from both UVA and UVB rays (which is very important), get one that is SPF 30 and also contains avobenzone, zinc oxide, or titanium dioxide as an active ingredient. If it does not contain one of the three I just mentioned the sunscreen is no good. It will not protect you from UVA rays, which are the ones that cause more long-term harm (cancer and wrinkles).
Ita very hard to find a really effective natural sunscreen...i did find one or 2...ill try to finf them,i think i saved the site...have you tried VCO ?
You want to know what really stinks royal?? I live in FL., used to spend literally hours out in it and after about my 3rd treatment, I developed a permanent skin condition to where I develop hives when I get out in the direct sun for more than just about 5 min, unless I'm totally covered from head to toe. Do you have any idea how miserable that can be in 90+ degree heat of the summer?? It used to not even be this bad until my 9th treatment using the Telaprevir and since then, it's actually gotten a bit worse. I had this diagnosed after a flare-up, by a dermatologist. She did a skin biopsy and the pathology report came back with this rare skin thing. If I stay inside, don't and get hot showers/bathes, then, it's basically a non-issue. But, sometimes it's so inconvenient. Like, for example, when somebody has an outdoor event, like say, in May and invites me to go to it and it's a slightly formal thing, like say, a wedding. And like say, it's at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Well then, I can't exactly shown up in totally covered skin garb because I'd appear as if I was going to a funeral and not a spring outdoor wedding. Or when your sister asks you to come up to her summer house and go out on the boat and get in the hot tub..., I can't do either of those things. Not fun. When I was on the Telaprevir, doctor's advised me to put on a 60+ sunscreen all over my body (that contained zinc) plus, wear the sunscreen clothes on top of that. And this was the hepatologist and study nurse advising me to do this. And it was bloody hot outside, too as it was during the May to Aug. time period. I am grateful for sunscreen. I didn't ask for this geeky skin disorder and I'd like more than anything to throw all caution to wind and just pretend that I didn't have it..., but, then, I'd be itching and covered in hives and isn't that more geeky? So, I just stay inside and pop Vit. D supplementals and take my cold showers. You do actually get used to cold showers after awhile...
: ) Susan400
If you want the truth on how i realy feel...this whole planet is a scam...everything revolves around money and im sick of it.
Sunscreen a scam? Next you'll be telling us that colloidal silver is a scam.
Well...living here among the giant icebergs in Canada its not as burning hot as it is in USA,..all i can say is if you must use one...use the most natural you can find...they are all bad ,but some are safer that others...the titanium oxides and zinc oxides are the ones i will use...if i go to the Sarha desert
