Just after tx I took the lad to Edininburgh. We climbed the Scotts monument and I video taped the effort up 237 steps. Towards the top the steps get very steep and narrow. My camera and I followed up the stairs behind a pair of fetching young lassies who, as we neared the top, I had the fortune of discovering, were each wearing thonged undies. Some days the world seem just and right....

Note that folks are traveling both up and down. Who you pass is luck of the draw... you never know who, or what, lies ahead beyond the bend. Who you start behind, however, is entirely under your control.
God knows where that tape is. He's at the age where he'd appreciate it now so I should dig it out. He followed behind me and missed the scenery at the time.

flcyclist - thanks for that, contains some great hockey humour. :) I like the one where Letterman (or, oh cr@p, was it Leno? terrible memory!) brings out the dryer on stage for Crosby to take shots at. I saw a clip on YouTube of Sid at home with his parents and they show the actual dryer and basement - lots of dents and puckmarks. :) Funny comment from Jon Stewart - I can imagine if they substituted the word "baseball" for "hockey" the situation would be reversed. Enjoyed this quite a bit and will bookmark this one - thanks. :)
