Having received my live liver transplant in Taiwan, this article grabbed my eye.
At the hospital I went to, only related donor transplants were permitted including for cadaveric transplants.
There extensive tests before they would permit the transplant.
Obviously, this was not the case in the hospital in this article.
However the staff spent so much time on the computer, punching in data there was little time spent with the patients.
Perhaps overwork, and being under staffed are the reasons for such problems besides negligence,
